Antique Yellowware Barrel Pitcher Yellow Pottery Milk Jug Primitive Farmhouse

Antique Yellowware Barrel Pitcher – Primitive Farmhouse Pottery

A wonderful antique yellowware pitcher featuring a distinctive molded barrel design with raised staves and horizontal hoops. Its warm mustard-yellow glaze and substantial utilitarian form give it exactly the kind of character that works beautifully in a primitive, farmhouse, country or collected vintage kitchen.

This is the medium-size milk/juice pitcher form, measuring approximately 6 3/4" tall and 7 1/2–8" from spout to handle, with an approximate capacity of 1–1 1/4 quarts (32–40 fl oz).

The underside is unglazed, exposing the natural pottery body. Handwritten numbers are present on the bottom; these appear to be old inventory, dealer or similar identification markings rather than a manufacturer's mark. No definitive maker's mark is present.

The barrel-shaped body is especially attractive, with molded vertical staves and multiple decorative bands creating the appearance of an old wooden barrel. The angular handle and generously formed pouring spout complete the classic utilitarian design.

Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks or other significant damage noted. Please view all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the description. Minor variations and signs of age are expected in antique pottery and add to its authentic character.
